Tasilaq, Greenland is a metropolis by the standards of Greenland, home to around 2000 people, almost all employed in some way by the local fishing industry. A large portion of the population are from the local Inuit tribe lead by Chief Nanuq. There is a small population of Europeans here who keep to themselves mostly, and are generally the owners and operators of the port and canneries that exist in Tasilaq. Tasilaq is home to a small port with boat repair facilities, as well as a general store which sells various arctic survival supplies as well as some food. The port of Tasilaq is about a week’s ship ride from Nuuk.
