Nuuk

Nuuk, the capital of Greenland sports a population of about 6,000 people, and is located on the western coast of Greenland. The port of Nuuk is large and bustling (for Greenland), sporting the headquarters of various large fisheries that are responsible for 90% of Greenland’s exports. The people of Nuuk are split approximately evenly between Europeans mostly of Norse descent and the Inuit people. It is about a two week ship journey from Boston and a one week trip from Tasilaq.
