The crew of an Inuit fishing boat in northeastern Greenland witnessed a major ice shelf collapse. The collapse revealed an entrance to a cave accompanied by what appeared to be immaculately preserved Nordic ruins. Local Inuit tribes refuse to approach the site, claiming the land is cursed. This discovery prompted many archaeologists and anthropologists the world over to begin scraping together the funds to lead an expedition to the site, with many universities clambering to be the first to explore such well-preserved ruins. The investigators are members of one such expedition organized by Miskatonic University.
